My professional career began in England in the 1960s and has evolved into
a stimulating and rewarding professional practice. After immigrating to the U.S. in the late 60s, I gained valuable experience
working as a therapist in the public sector.
I later went on to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work, which has
provided me with an additional level of training, skill and expertise far beyond that which is required for clinical social
work licensure.
I bring this doctoral education, intensive training, personal therapy and over 30 years of professional
and life experience to the practice of psychotherapy. I have been in private practice in San Jose/Los Gatos for over 20 years.
I provide psychotherapy with adults, couples, and groups, and am comfortable treating people from diverse
backgrounds who come seeking help for a broad range of problems. Though it is sometimes difficult to begin psychotherapy or
seek a consultation, I have found that the majority of people who have sought my help and guidance over the years have learned
to cope more effectively with lives that had become overwhelming and unmanageable.
